Alumna’s Donation Will Help CNBS Establish Science Career Mentorship Program

The College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences at California State University, Dominguez Hills will establish the Helen and Marshall Wright Memorial Career Mentorship Program thanks to a donation from alumna and Hermosa Beach resident Kathy Tibone (Class of 1976, M.A., behavioral science).

The program will help students advance their degrees into successful careers in the sciences. It is named in honor of Tibone’s parents, Marshall Wright Jr. and Helen Duckson Wright, who passed away in 2010 and 2011, respectively.

“Our students receive strong foundations in science education, and we are pleased of the partnerships we have within the local science community to provide them with opportunities to apply that knowledge,” said Laura Robles, dean of the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences.
