STEP 1: Gather the following for your application.

  • Your official transcripts from all colleges and universities where you completed undergraduate work (you will have these sent directly to the Office of Admissions and Records)
  • Any other supplemental application materials from the individual graduate program to which you are applying (check with the program for any additional requirements)
  • Application fee of $55 (check, money order or credit card)*

*No fee is required if you qualify for a fee waiver

STEP 2: Complete the application

  • Beginning October 1, 2009, you can apply online and pay the application fee at CSU Mentor. Application deadlines vary by program. Download the latest deadline listing by program here.
  • If you would like to print out a paper copy of the CSU Application, please click here.
  • Complete any supplemental department application and other specific program requirements. Be sure to check with your program.
  • If you'd like to talk to the Graduate Program Coordinator, download our contact information list.
  • If you did not pay online though CSUMentor, please send a $55 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee payable to "CSU Dominguez Hills" and send it to:

  • Important: Include the following information on your check: name of student, student's date of birth, and/or the application confirmation number (sent with your email confirmation when you successfully complete and submit your online application).

STEP 3: Send us your transcripts

STEP 4: Set up your MyCSUDH online account

Save time and avoid the lines! Don't miss important updates, messages and announcements! Once you've been admitted, you will receive information on setting up your MyCSUDH online account where you can register for classes, pay tuition, check email, schedule academic advising and much more. It's fast, easy and convenient. Here's how you do it:

  1. Go to MyCSUDH
  2. Click on the "Activate Your Account" link
  3. Enter your account activation information which is sent to you with your admissions notice.

When should I apply?

Fall 2010 Semester: Beginning October 1, 2009

Application deadlines may vary for different programs, so be sure to check with the program advisor for the program you are interested in. We strongly recommend completing the application process as soon as possible, as many programs and classes reach their maximum capacity quickly. What are the requirements for admission?

What if I don't meet the general requirements for admission?

Applicants who don't meet the general admission criteria may be admitted to a program by special action taken by a program coordinator and school dean, upon demonstrating academic and professional potential.


How do I check my admission status?

Contact the admissions office at (310) 243-3645 or online at MyCSUDH. For online status checks, use the account setup information you'll receive from CSUDH after you apply.


How do I set up my MyCSUDH online account?

Once you've been admitted, be sure to set up your MyCSUDH online account where you can register for classes, pay tuition, check email, schedule academic advising and much more, easily and quickly, from anywhere with an Internet connection. It's fast, easy and convenient. Here's how you do it:
