As professional people, faculty members are expected to carry out all of their professional responsibilities and to be present on campus as required by these responsibilities, including scheduled classes, scheduled office hours, advising and mentoring students, and time required for committee assignments. Since the college operates from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and to some extent on Saturday and Sunday, faculty members may be requested at times to be available for professional duties beyond the specific times required by the scheduled obligations in the preceding sentence. College Deans and Department Chairpersons will assure that this policy is adhered to.
