Definition of Super Seniors

Overview

1.0 In order to facilitate timely graduation, students who have completed the required number of units for their degree programs are tracked in order to ensure access to proactive advisement and to determine “Super Senior” status.

Policy

2.0 “Super Seniors” will receive priority registration.

3.0 For the purposes of advising and tracking, students who have completed more than 110% of the units required by their planned degree program (i.e., more than 132 units toward the completion of a 120-unit program) will be considered to have “Super Senior” status.

4.0 Only units toward degree completion will be used in the calculation of “Super Senior” status.

5.0 Departments and Advising units will work proactively to advise “Super Seniors.”
