José Luis Solache is the Mayor of the city of Lynwood, as well as the President and CEO of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Solache graduated from CSUDH in 2006, receiving a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an option in Spanish.

Mr. Solache has been involved in public service and leadership from an early age. He served as CSUDH Student Body President for two terms, as well as chairing the California State Student Association (CSSA). He made history in 2003 when he was elected to the Lynwood Board of Education, becoming the youngest Latino board member ever. An alumnus of Lynwood schools, Mr. Solache has also served as Board President on three occasions. He was elected to the Lynwood City Council in 2013.
