Cheryl Browne, M.D., has been the physician-in-charge in the Continuing Care Department at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center for over 20 years, and is the founding co-chair of its Diversity Committee. She joined the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in 1990 and became a partner in 1992.
She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Exceptional Physician of the Year, Internist of the Year Award, Kaiser’s Spirit of Hope Award, Everyday Heroes Award, and the Partners in Health Service Excellence Award. Her extensive community service includes developing an annual cardiovascular disease workshop for African Americans in the South Bay community, serving as a Hippocrates’ Circle Mentor, and founding the Forever Young Partners in Health Program.
