Wanda Morris — B.S, Nursing, 1988

Dr. Wanda Morris is the director of nursing at El Camino College, a position she has held since 2015. Dr. Morris also provided oversight to the Compton College Associate Degree nursing programs at El Camino, until the separation of the two campuses in 2019. She has over 40 years of experience in the nursing profession.

After graduating from the CSUDH nursing program, Dr. Morris attained a master's degree in nursing as a clinical nurse specialist from UCLA. She has a doctorate in educational leadership, higher education from Argosy University. She is an active member of the Council of Black Nurses, Los Angeles, and a lifetime member of the National Black Nurses Association, National League of Nurses, and the American Nurses Association, among other groups. Dr. Morris was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Black Nurses, Los Angeles in 2017.
