I Strengthen the Workforce

For over 30 years, Jan Vogel has served the South Bay Workforce Investment community encompassing the eleven cities of El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Carson, Lomita, and Torrance. Under his leadership, the South Bay Workforce Investment Board has taken a leading role in the development of job training services.  

Vogel has served on various boards, including President of the Hawthorne Education Foundation, Inglewood Unified School District Advisory Board of Directors, El Camino College Foundation Advisory Board of Directors, and the California Workforce Association Executive Board. He has received various prestigious awards including the President’s Advisory Board for California State University, Dominguez Hills, the prestigious Friend of Education, Katherine B. Loker Award from CSUDH, and the 2008 Alumni Advocate of the Year Award from CSUDH.
