Towalame Austin has over 18 years of experience in the non-profit sector, where she has carved a niche by bridging the worlds of traditional and entertainment philanthropy. She currently serves as Executive Vice President, Philanthropy and Social Impact for Sony Music Group, working closely with their corporate communications and human resources teams to advance the company's humanitarian efforts. Austin will work to extend philanthropic programs and activities across the company’s global network, while advising its businesses, artists, and songwriters on charitable initiatives.

Austin previously served as executive of philanthropy for Roc Nation, where she was responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the philanthropic efforts of artists, including directly managing Rihanna’s charity venture, The Clara Lionel Foundation. She previously was president of the Magic Johnson Foundation, Inc. Austin sits on the board for the Association of Black Foundation Executives and serves as chair of their governance committee. In addition, she sits on the Philanthropic/Advisory Board for California State University, Dominguez Hills, and the Diversity Task Force for Live Nation Entertainment.
