Gene Hale is CEO of G&C Equipment Corporation, a construction equipment, material, and supplies company. He was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Export Council, and by President George W. Bush to the President’s Board of Advisors on Historical Black Colleges.

Hale is current chairman of the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce and the Gardena Police Foundation, and serves on the Los Angeles County Small Business Commission. He is past chair of CALTRANS Small Business Advisory Board, the Black Business Association of Los Angeles, and the Congressional Task Force on Small Business Development.
