Brian Johnson is the chief of police of the El Centro Police Department. He previously served as chief of the Upland Police Department and was with the Los Angeles Police Department for 26 years.

Johnson has been the recipient of numerous external and internal commendations and awards, and he has been awarded the prestigious Police Meritorious Service Medal. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, is on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Asian American Law Enforcement Commanders, and served on the Los Angeles Police Museum board.
