California Pre-doctoral Program

 

The California Pre-doctoral Program provides funds to enable students to explore and prepare for doctoral programs in their field of study. Awards are competitive and approximately 60 students will be awarded throughout the CSU system. http://www.calstate.edu/predoc/apply/

The California Pre-doctoral Program provides students funding for activities such as:

  • participation in a summer research experience program at a doctoral-granting institution to receive exposure to the world of research in chosen field
  • visits to doctoral-granting institutions to explore opportunities for doctoral study
  • travel to a national symposium or professional meeting in chosen field, other related activities such as membership in professional organizations and journal subscriptions
  • graduate school application and test fees

Dr Michelle Martinez, the CSUDH campus coordinator, will be providing information sessions about the pre-doctoral program on:

  • Thursday, December 11 at 3:00pm in LIB 4516 (4th floor-McNair Office)
  • Tuesday, December 16 at 11am in LIB 4516  “
  • Wednesday, January 7 at 12:30pm in LIB 4516 “
  • Tuesday, January 20 at 12noon in LIB 4524

Students, please begin your application early and take part in an information session. The application requires collaboration with your faculty mentor.

The internal deadline for applications from CSUDH will be Thursday, February 26 at 5 PM. Applications should be delivered to the Office of Academic Programs Welch Hall 440, ATTN: TRACEY HANEY.
