California State University, Dominguez Hills’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free tax preparation assistance to low-income families and individuals every spring semester. Spring 2022 dates: February 12 through April 16.
The program is staffed by IRS-certified student volunteers and will be available to taxpayers virtually only. The dates and times can be found on the CSUDH VITA website.
To schedule a virtual appointment, please email us at info@csudhvita.tax. A list of documents and forms of identification taxpayers must bring to their session can be found on the website.
Our student volunteers completed intensive training on handling federal and state tax returns. In addition to providing service to the community, the CSUDH VITA program also gives students (mainly students with accounting concentration) an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge and experience in their field of study.
Our goal is to make an impact in the community by offering low-income taxpayers access to the federal and California Earned Income Tax Credit, as well as other tax credits and deductions. So please do not hesitate to contact us if you need help with your taxes!
