Biography
Charles Thomas joined the faculty at CSU Dominguez Hills in 2009. In addition to teaching, Thomas advises business majors many of whom are looking to attend law school. Prior to CSUDH, Thomas specialized in real estate. He was a vice president at JPMorgan Chase where he structured and facilitated the legal documentation of real estate loans for the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) market. There, he closed over 100 loans per year, representing approximately $3 billion in closed and securitized loan volume. He worked for Pircher, Nichols and Meeks representing public and private companies, and individual developers in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, licensing and financing transactions. He also spent two years as a judicial clerk in Nevada.
