Biography
Dr. Harun Rashid is an Associate Professor of Accounting. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Accounting from University of Calgary, Canada, M.Sc. degree in Finance from University of Saskatchewan, Canada, M.B.A. degree from North South University, and bachelor’s degree from Independent University, Bangladesh.
His teaching interests are federal income taxation of individuals and business entities (ACC 333 and ACC 433), and financial accounting (ACC 230). His research interests include corporate tax avoidance, capital market and executive compensation. He received a best paper award in finance category at the 2013 Annual Meeting of Administrative Sciences Association of Canada (ASAC).
