Biography
Xuefei (Nancy) Deng is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Information Technology (IT) Management at the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and M.B.A. from American University in Washington, DC. Dr. Deng’s research interests include crowdsourcing, digital and social media, human value and IS design, IT workforce, knowledge management, and e-commerce. Her research has been published (or forthcoming) in the MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology Case and Application Research, Journal of Information Systems, and International Journal of Project Management, among others. She co-chairs the "Social Media and Enterprise" mini-track at the Hawaii International Conference on Information Sciences (HICSS) and serves as a track co-chair at the 2015 Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) Annual Meeting. Dr. Deng is an Associate Editor for two journals –Information and Organization, and Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce – and on the editorial review board of the journal, Knowledge Management Research & Practice.
