University Housing provides a safe, inclusive living experience for CSUDH students that promotes independence, maximizes their educational experience, and facilitates their personal development. Below are links to helpful information about the various aspects of on-campus living.

If you plan on living on campus, apply for housing as soon as you can as we have a limited number of spaces. It’s convenient, safe, and affordable. University Housing is available for admitted or currently enrolled, degree-seeking CSUDH students only.

How to Apply for Housing

We've got detailed instructions on how to apply for on-campus housing at CSUDH -- including everything from a step-by-step guide to a list of all important dates and deadlines.

Housing Rates & Deadlines

For housing costs, please visit: https://www.csudh.edu/housing/room-rates-and-fees/

  • All amounts listed are per student.
  • Academic Year applicants may pay their fees in one (1), two (2), or six (6) installments. Fall term applicants may pay their fees in one (1) or three (3) installments. Summer applications may pay their fees in one (1) or two (2) installments.
  • Please note: A mandatory, one-time installment fee is charged if you pay in more than one (1) installment for the Academic Year: $25 for two (2) installments, $50 for six (6) installments. New Spring applicants are charged $25 if they pay in three (3) installments. This fee is non-refundable.
  • All utilities (electricity, gas, and water) and wireless Internet service are included in the housing rate. 
  • A refundable $300 Security Deposit is also due before the start of occupancy. Please refer to the Application Checklist for more information on the deposit.
  • A non-refundable $25 Resident Student Association (RSA) Fee is charged to all confirmed residents with an assigned Housing space once per academic year. 

All fees are subject to change by the executive order of the Chancellor of the California State University and/or the CSUDH Administration.

Future Residence Hall residents will be encouraged to have at least $2,300 in campus dining points each semester.
