Students applying to undergraduate degree programs with no previous coursework at a college or university are considered first–time freshmen. You may be qualified for international freshman admission, if you –

Students who speak English as a native language or have had three years (full-time) or more of secondary education taught in English are exempt from English Proficiency requirement. For detailed description, please click on this link - ADMISSIONS CRITERIA FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.
International applicants who have met all admission requirements except English Proficiency can apply for conditional admission through American Language and Culture Program (ALCP). Once they have improved their English skills and pass TOEFL/IELTS OR qualify for an ALCP English Proficiency Waiver, they can start their degree program.
