Student Learning Outcomes

During the T.H.R.I.V.E Worksop, Students will:

  • Examine and explore factors that impact academics.
  • Understand academic policies and how they can help improve academic standing.
  • Evaluate the campus resources and academic support available.
  • Determine a strategy for improving GPA above 2.0.
  • Recognize successes and acknowledge strengths.

What is Academic Notice?

Undergraduate are placed Academic Notice if their cumulative of CSUDH GPA falls below a 2.0 (a "C" average) in any semester, excluding summer.

4-Step Process 

  1. Reflect- Be honest about the factors that impacted your academics the most: but also acknowledge your strengths.
  2. Understand Your Options- Learn about academic policies that will help you get off Academic Notice. Understand what options will work best for you.
  3. Create a Plan- Determine a strategy for improving GPA and returning to good standing.
  4. Execute the Plan- Take Action!
