Debbie was born and raised in San Pedro, CA. She attended Los Angeles Harbor Community College and transferred to California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), and obtained her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has worked in the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing (CHHSN) in a variety of positions since 2001. She joined the CHHSN Student Services Center academic advising team in 2017. She understands the challenges and struggles that students face and feels fortunate to navigate them through their academic career. Music is a big part of life and she attends concerts in her free time. Debbie is an advocate for the environment and feels at home in the mountains with her family and loyal dog Thor.
