Catherine Risling

Adjunct Faculty- Journalism

After working in the journalism field for more than 15 years—which has included newspapers, books, magazines and blogs—Catherine Risling has been fortunate to be able to share her writing, editing and layout talents with aspiring journalists and other communications majors at California State University Dominguez Hills the last two decades. She is a published author and has edited more than 60 books for Sterling Publishing in New York. Risling also writes freelance and continues to consult with various companies on PR strategies and communications.

Risling teaches multiple courses in the Communications Department including media law, newswriting for media, news gathering and reporting, feature writing and digital toolkit.
