Lisa Mastramico obtained her M.A. in Social Documentation from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she also co-directed a large international and interdisciplinary internship program for seven years. Prior to joining the faculty at CSUDH, she was the first director of PADNET.tv, where she successfully launched a new nonprofit community media center and television station with a curriculum serving all ages and access. Her own documentary work and training focuses on social justice themes and analysis told through character-based stories. Her work has taken her across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua and Brazil and has been screened internationally in film festivals and on Free Speech TV. Lisa teaches the internship courses in the Department of Communications and coordinates internships across the College of Arts and Humanities.
