Biosafety Hazardous Waste Handling & Disposal | This course describes the precautions to take against the transmission of infection from biohazardous waste in the workplace. It describes various categories of biohazards as well as safety measures and guidelines for safe storage, treatment, and disposal of biohazardous waste. It also covers clean-up procedures of biohazardous spills. |
Respirator Training | This course covers information relating to respiratory hazards and safe work practices. It includes information on how to use respiratory protection against hazardous airborne contaminants in the work environment. It does not include respiratory protection when working with ionizing radiation. |
Filtering Facepiece Respirators & Masks | Filtering facepiece respirators and masks are used to safeguard workers from specific known hazards. The course provides information on the types of masks and the protection they provide. The course also discusses N95 respirators as well procedures to don, doff, and dispose of an N95 respirator. |
N-95 Voluntary Use | This course is an overview of the N95 Respirator. Topics include: how to put it on, proper use and maintenance, the difference between required use and voluntary use, and the respirator's limitations. |

CSU Laboratory Safety Fundamentals | This course is required for students that are taking a laboratory science. It reviews all safety policies and procedures while working in a lab. |
CSUDH Lab Safety Cal/OSHA | This course meets the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA) requirements for laboratory safety training. |
This course addresses commonly used cryogenic materials such as in refrigeration, medical applications, and rocket propulsion. Cryogenic materials are extremely cold and proper handling and storage must be followed. The course explains how to recognize different types of cryogenic material in the workplace and identifies the potential dangers of storing and handling these materials incorrectly. | |

Aerosol Transmissible Disease | The course will teach participants how to determine when there is a transmission risk from small particles or droplets. They will be able to identify work that requires aerosol safety procedures to reduce the risk of exposure to aerosol transmissible pathogens. The course also covers how to respond to an aerosol transmissible pathogen exposure incident and how to safely dispose of exposed wastes. |
