David Sherman received his Ph.D. from SUNY Stony Brook and his B.A. from McGill University. He teaches new media-informed undergraduate and graduate courses in Rhetoric and Composition as well as English Education (ENG 485) and Composition for high school teachers (ENG 457). His research interests include theorizing critical writing pedagogies with an emphasis on interdisciplinary studies. He has published and presented conference papers in Composition, Cultural Studies, and Teacher Education. He is a keen follower of the contemporary art scene in L.A. and has been known to integrate visits to local art museums and other venues in his writing courses.
