IT Equipment Rollout

  1. Equipment is received by IT Department from Asset Management, along with an inventory report from PeopleSoft.

    • Laptop/Desktop/Tablets are verified and tagged by Asset Management prior to delivery to IT Department.

  2. IT Department uses generated inventory list to enter all Equipment information into ServiceNow.

  3. IT Department images all Desktop, Laptops and Tablets and stores the equipment until it is checked out.

  4. Student/Faculty/Staff submit an equipment request through the TechCheckout portal.

  5. IT Department releases equipment to student/faculty/staff and updates the equipment records in Service Now.

  6. IT Department sends Asset Management a quarterly inventory report with custodian information.

  7. Equipment is returned to the IT Department which updates Service Now records to reflect that the equipment was returned.
