Dr. Annemarie Perez is an Associate Professor in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department (College of Arts & Humanities). She works in and with digital humanities and digital pedagogy and its intersections and divisions with ethnic and cultural studies. Her specialty is Latinx literature, with a focus on Chicana feminist writer-editors from 1965-to the present. She is writing a book on Latina feminist editorship. Dr. Perez began working with students and faculty on their academic writing when she was a graduate student. As a faculty member at CSUDH, she has participated in or led writing groups every year, in the process learning the mechanics of academic writing, the importance of collaboration, and the importance of community in fostering and completing academic projects. She has been an active part of the Untenured Faculty Organization's board since her first year at Dominguez Hills. Outside of CSUDH, she is part of virtual faculty communities dedicated to teaching, research, and academic productivity.
