Community Relations

The Office of Government and Community Relations is the university's primary liaison to the community, building partnerships with local community groups, nonprofits, and legislators. We collaborate on a number of events and programs open to the members of the CSUDH community and local residents.

Partnership Programs

AALT

African American Leaders for Tomorrow (AALT)

Our partnership with the California Legislative Black Caucus provides an opportunity for 100 African American high school leaders from Southern and Northern California to spend four days at CSUDH, attending workshops about college access, gender oppression, and community impact. Workshops are facilitated by CSUDH faculty, staff, and alumni.

GPS Your Future

International Trade Education Program (ITEP)

800 eleventh graders from local high schools attend a half-day think tank facilitated by CSUDH faculty, staff, and alumni. Recent topics have included How to Brand Yourself, Where Do Your Snaps Go on SnapChat?, and Making a Difference by Volunteering.

Connecting Women to Power

Connecting Women To Power

This conference allows business faculty to participate on panels in their areas of interest. It's a chance to showcase the campus to community members who may not otherwise visit CSUDH.

Sharefest

Sharefest

Sharefest is a summer youth camp facilitated by Sharefest counselors and employees. CSUDH faculty and staff have an opportunity to participate on some days. One day is always granted to the CSUDH Outreach/Admissions team.
