Obinna Oleribe is an African/African American of Nigerian origin, trained in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and the United States. He holds a medical degree, a master’s in business administration, a doctorate in public health, and several fellowships including a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), London. In addition, he is a certified project (PRINCE 2 & PMP) and quality (Lean Six Sigma) manager.

Before joining the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, California State University, Dominguez Hills, Obinna taught public health concepts and leadership courses in Nigeria, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and South Sudan. He also led public health organizations in Nigeria, Tanzania, and the United States to develop new health programs, modify strategies, improve processes, and scale up projects. Most of his research works are on Health System Improvement (HSI).

He authored several scientific articles and books. He loves teaching, exercising, reading/writing, mentoring, and working with people to change systems.
