Mackenzie Cosgrove

I am a graduate student at Claremont Graduate University in the MA History program with an emphasis in Archival and Museum Studies. My research centers around environmental history, with particular emphasis on the evolution of national park development. Through this research, I explore the multifaceted challenges inherent in balancing conservation objectives, environmental impacts of tourism, and the perspectives of Indigenous communities.

While graduate school has been challenging, finding a supportive and nurturing community has been invaluable in fostering intellectual growth. Additionally, my time in the History department at CSUDH provided me with the foundational skills and passion necessary to excel at the graduate level.
