Annual APC Educational Achievement Stipend (EAS)

The Educational Achievement Stipend Program established is for current APC employees who receive a master’s and/or doctoral degree during the fiscal year. The Educational Achievement Stipends for each fiscal year shall be paid no later than September 1 following the end of the fiscal year for those employees who are on the payroll on August 1 following the end of the fiscal year. Human Resources will email notifications to current APC employees with the application and submission instructions. 

APC Long Term Service Bonus

In accordance with Article 23.4B of the APC/CSU collective bargaining agreement, eligible APC (Unit 4) employees who complete a 5-year anniversary of continuous campus employment beginning at the employee’s 10th year of qualified monthly service at CSUDH during each fiscal year, are eligible for a Long Term Service (LTS) Bonus.

LTS bonuses will be disbursed quarterly based on the month in which the milestone occurs. Human Resources will notify each recipient that their LTS payment was processed. All payments will be processed through Payroll and distributed through the Cashiers office.

Critical Skills Bonus (APC & CSUEU)

A critical skills bonus may be awarded to an employee who possesses and uses skills that are necessary and critical to the ongoing operations of the CSU. The employee must be actively using the skills in order to receive the bonus.

Stipends

A stipend is a temporary additional payment to an employee that is allocated on a month-to-month basis for the duration of a temporary assignment of responsibilities. (Please refer to appropriate CBA for specific provisions.)  An employee shall receive a monthly salary stipend when assigned by an appropriate administrator to temporary project coordination or lead work functions. These supplemental work assignments are to be made in writing and must have a specific beginning and ending date.
