Dr. Yulder Daza completed a dual-major in Spanish & Philosophy, and a minor in Psychology at CSUDH. Dr. Daza earned his M.A. in Latin-American and Peninsular literatures and language at UC Riverside. Dr. Daza obtained his Ph.D. in Latin-American Literature with a specialization on XIX Century literature production in Colombia and Venezuela. Currently, Dr. Daza is studying Latin American Programs with the purpose in getting a Ph.D. in Latin American Studies.

His scholarly interests include the analysis of the XIX and XX Century literature production in Latin America with a special focus on Colombia and Venezuela. Dr. Daza’s research examines the relationship between the political and the aesthetic discourse and its repercussion in the formation of the post-colonial nation states in Latin America.
