Trainer cards expire 4 years after the issuing date. Your expiration date will be listed on your outreach trainer card or you can contact us to confirm. To maintain your authorization status, you must take a corresponding update course (e.g. OSHA 502, 503, etc.) before you expire. We strongly recommend trainers schedule their refresher training well in advance of their expiration date to avoid a lapse in authorization. There is no grace period after you expire. If your card has expired, you will need to meet all prerequisites requirements to attend the initial Trainer course (e.g. OSHA 500, 501, etc.) again, including having successfully completed the OSHA Standards course (e.g. OSHA 510, 511, etc.) within the last 7 calendar years. Extensions will not be granted.
