Course Description

40-House HAZWOPERThis course provides instruction in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) as it relates to chemical and physical exposures. This course satisfies the requirements for employee training under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.

Who Should Attend

Individuals responsible for overseeing safety in industries such as: Construction, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Maritime and General Industry.

  1. Identify how hazardous materials are identified and handled
  2. Describe human responses to exposure
  3. Explain the importance of the Health and Safety Plan (HSP)
  4. Describe procedures for chemical spill
  5. Describe appropriate safety methods and work practice procedures
  6. Recognize pictograms that are used to alert personnel of hazardous materials
