SCHOLARSHIP AGENDA

Dr. Phelps demonstrates a scholarship of application by having developed a faculty-led, service-learning fieldwork site at Century Village at Cabrillo ~ a community-based, mental health setting for people who were formerly unhoused. This program not only provides OT services for the residents but also fieldwork opportunities for Level I and Level II students.  Dr. Phelp's scholarship of teaching is supported by her research interests which include the fieldwork experience for level II students and the learning experience for occupational therapy students in a master’s program.  Evidence of such scholarship can be found in Dr. Phelp's presentations.
