BIO

Jackie Devries became an Occupational Therapist in 1985. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient mental health, acute care, acute rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, home and community mental health, and education. Jackie spent 20 years working in acute rehabilitation with an emphasis on neurological recovery, behavior management, cognitive retraining and contracture management. She is a specialist in managing contractures and provides education on serial casting to the professional community. Jackie is currently the Occupational Therapy supervisor at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital San Pedro. Jackie manages a department of 20 staff in a variety of settings including acute care, transitional care, long term care, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation. Her current interests include developing an Optimal Aging Alzheimer/Dementia program for clients and families and promoting Driver Rehabilitation to the disabled and senior population.
