Eva Sevcikova has been serving as Executive Director of the CSUDH Philanthropic Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement since July 2022. She has joined the Toro community as CSUDH’s Associate Vice President of University Advancement in October 2021. In her role she leads the teams in all areas of development (major gifts, corporate and foundations relations, annual giving, planned giving, donor relations, advancement services) and external affairs (alumni relations government and community relations, and ceremonies and events). She also leads the CSUDH Philanthropic Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 non-profit with more than $45 million in total assets.

Previously, she worked at her alma mater, Whitter College, for eight years as a member of their advancement team, most recently as Vice President of Development. Prior to her roles in higher education, Sevcikova spent nearly a decade working for a NASDAQ-traded company as part of a corporate communications and investor relations division.

A first-generation college graduate born and raised in what is now Slovakia, Sevcikova first arrived in the U.S. in the mid 1990’s with a cohort of Eastern European high school students who earned fellowships from the Open Society Foundation to freely pursue academic studies in the U.S. after the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Whittier College. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and also holds a certificate in education entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
