A Toyota team member since 1999, Michael has had leadership positions in legal services, retail market development, sales + marketing, learning + development, and equity, diversity + inclusion. Currently, from Toyota North America’s headquarters in Plano, Texas, he is responsible for the Toyota USA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation. Since 1987, the Foundation supports innovative direct service STEM education programs. Through its projects across the United States, the Foundation aims to provide access to education pathways that can transform the lives of young people by providing the in-demand skills needed for in-demand careers. Michael has a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker School Graduate of Management at Claremont Graduate University. He serves as director of the California State University, Dominguez Hills Philanthropic Foundation, serves as a member of the industry advisory board of the Drucker School of Management, and serves as a member of the steering committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' inclusive economy accelerator, Advance Together™. Michael is married and resides in North Texas. He and his wife have two kids. In his free time, he enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, tennis, and Camp Gladiator©.
