The Project Management Office (PMO) oversees project constraints by ensuring project plans are implemented on schedule and within scope and budget. Project management leadership is responsible for establishing and implementing best practices for the benefit of the University in a way that encourages collaboration, standardization, and overall improvement in our educational community.
PMO supports Information Technology and University Planning Committee (UPC) projects. PMO defines a project as a one-time effort with a specific scope, goal, and timeline requiring more than 20 hours of work. We recommend engaging the PMO early in the planning phase for large-scale projects.
If your project involves procuring a new software application, please plan adequate time for the Information & Communication Technology Procurement (ITC) process. PMO can assist you during the product evaluation and procurement processes.
Once a project has been approved, a Project Coordinator is assigned to support it to completion.
