Biography:

Dr. Wagner joined the Sociology Department as Professor & Chair in fall 2023.  Prior to that, he held a joint appointment as Professor of Health Sciences (Public Health) and Professor of Sociology at CSU Channel Islands.  Dr. Wagner has served as Director of the Institute for Social & Community Research at CSUB, worked as a statistician at SPSS, Inc. and at the University of Illinois Survey Research Lab.  His research involves social network analysis, public health, LGBTQ studies, sociology of education, sports, urban sociology, and comparative/international studies with a focus on Taiwan.
