Toro Fund

Funding the University's Greatest Needs

Toro Fund is the primary means of donations by alumni, parents, friends, and students of CSUDH. Hundreds of donors come together every year to make their gift to the Toro Fund to allow the university much-needed flexibility in addressing emerging needs. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students.

Examples of how Toro Fund gifts are used:

  • offering scholarships to incoming high school or community college students (Toro Scholarship)
  • funding first-year experiences that contribute to student retention (summer bridge academic programs)
  • addressing financial needs that prevent students from enrolling in their coursework and being able to return for another academic semester
  • helping to bridge unmet financial need for students who are 1-6 units away from graduation but have run out of financial aid
  • helping former undergraduate students finish what they started and complete their degree after being re-enrolled in the Once a Toro Always at Toro program
  • and other programs to enhance Toro lives

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students.

Participation Matters

Many private foundations and corporations look at how many people give rather than the amount of each gift when determining whether to make large contributions to CSUDH. Your donation of any amount may help spur larger gifts to the university.

Whether you want to give back to the university that gave you so much, leave a legacy for future Toros, or would simply like a tax deduction, we appreciate your generosity.
