University Advancement

The Division of University Advancement offers campus-wide leadership to support and promote the academic mission of CSU Dominguez Hills and enhance the image of the university in the local, state, and national arenas. This is accomplished through philanthropic activities, government and community advocacy, and building broad, diverse networks of volunteer and alumni support.

MAKE A GIFT

Toro Fund is the primary means of donations by alumni, parents, friends, and students of CSUDH. Hundreds of donors come together every year to make their gift to the Toro Fund to allow the university much-needed flexibility in addressing emerging needs. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students.

Examples of how Toro Fund gifts are used:

  • offering scholarships to incoming high school or community college students (Toro Scholarship)
  • funding first-year experiences that contribute to student retention (summer bridge academic programs)
  • addressing financial needs that prevent students from enrolling in their coursework and being able to return for another academic semester
  • helping to bridge unmet financial need for students who are 1-6 units away from graduation but have run out of financial aid
  • helping former undergraduate students finish what they started and complete their degree after being re-enrolled in the Once a Toro Always at Toro program
  • and other programs to enhance Toro lives

The division includes the following offices:

University Advancement partners with CSUDH Philanthropic Foundation to attract private donations to the campus.
