Double Your Impact with Matching Gift Programs
Matching gift programs are a powerful way to maximize the impact of your investment in CSUDH.
Through matching gift programs offered by more than 13,000 employers, you can double or triple the value of your gift at no cost to yourself. In addition to matching charitable donations of their employees, some companies will also match donations made by spouses, retirees, and even members of their corporate board of directors.
Through matching gift programs, participating companies can offer their employees a benefit that can also inspire charitable giving in support of education.
How to Make a Matching Gift
Some matching programs will automatically match gifts made through payroll deductions, eliminating the need to complete a matching gift application. For more information on making gifts to CSUDH through payroll deductions, contact the Human Resources Department at your company.
Then, follow the steps listed below to complete the process.
- Request a matching gift application from your benefits manager or Human Resources office. Matching policies vary and certain restrictions apply, so please read your company’s matching gift program rules. Some companies may request CSUDH’s Tax ID number before they match. CSUDH's Philanthropic Foundation Federal Tax ID is #47-3097839.
- Take a minute to complete the matching gift application process. Some companies now have web-based or automated phone application processes. Paper applications may be returned, along with your gift, to:

- CSUDH will verify receipt of your gift and complete the process. Your employer will send an additional gift to CSUDH on your behalf!
