CSUDH is made up of several major offices. These administrative offices work together in a variety of ways to provide services, resources, and support for the campus and community.
The Office of the President positions CSUDH among the top ten public urban universities in the country through implementation of strategic initiatives, supporting the institutional infrastructure, improving service delivery systems, recruiting qualified faculty and support personnel, and ensuring quality instructional programs. The President’s Office maintains a confidential, people-friendly, professional environment for the public, faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the university.
The Division of Academic Affairs ensures that the university’s mission and goals are accomplished. We believe in academic excellence, community service, and the core values of liberal education that we will infuse in all of our programs. We strongly endorse diversity in our academic and employment policies and practices. We do this by offering academic and cultural programs of excellence and by fostering an environment conducive to student learning in an urban context of unprecedented demographic diversity.
The Division of Student Affairs provides services and programs in support of the educational development of students. This is achieved by a student-centered philosophy, student life activities, and an array of support and developmental services. We are committed to assisting students in enhancing their sense of purpose, autonomy, integrity, identity, and tolerance, in a caring yet challenging environment.
The Division of University Advancement advances the teaching, learning, and service goals of the university through relationship building and fundraising that unite our constituents as advocates of these goals.
The Division of Administration and Finance provides quality customer-oriented support services, which enhance the teaching and learning environment of the university, further the university's strategic priorities, and maintain the integrity of the institution.
The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice supports and promotes the university’s commitment to cultivating a caring community and sense of belonging that fosters an inclusive campus culture.
The Division of Information Technology advances the university as a leader among CSU campuses in using information technology for teaching and learning. Our vision is that all students, faculty, and staff will have "anywhere, anytime" electronic access to information resources in support of the teaching-learning mission of the university.
