Event Day Access and Driving/Parking Information | Placards

The Stub Hub Center hosts the soccer games here on the CSUDH campus. Traffic congestion is anticipated two hours prior to start time and for two hours upon conclusion of each game; please plan accordingly. The University Police Department offers the following information and suggestions to assist faculty, staff, students, and campus guests not attending the football game in accessing the campus.

Note: if you are a College of Continuing and Professional Education student attending classes on game days, and you do not have either a placard or an annual, semester or monthly parking pass, in order to gain entry to the parking lot, you need to state to the parking attendant the following: "I am taking a class at the College of Continuing and Professional Education, and I am not attending the game."

Please note: Tailgating is NOT PERMITTED on CSUDH Campus property.

Campus Entry

The campus community is strongly encouraged to utilize the following ingress points when entering the campus during periods leading up to, during, and following football games:

• Birchknoll Avenue (Gate F) *
• Charles Willard Street (Gate G)
• Glen Curtiss Street (Gate H)
• University Drive (Gate I)
• Tamcliff Avenue - is an option for Sunday classes at CCPE. See Driving Directions below.

Be advised: left turns onto campus at some ingress points may be prohibited.

Driving Instructions to CSUDH Parking Lot 3

1. Via 110 Freeway South (from Downtown L.A., Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank areas)
   1. Exit Torrance Blvd. turn left
   2. Turn left onto Main St
   3. Turn Right onto Victoria Street
   4. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   5. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3
2. Via 110 Freeway North (from San Pedro and Palos Verdes areas)
   1. Exit Torrance Blvd turn left onto Figueroa St.
   2. Turn Right onto Del Amo Blvd.
   3. Turn left onto Main St
   4. Turn Right onto Victoria Street
   5. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   6. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3
3. Via 405 Freeway South (from LAX, Santa Monica, West L.A., San Fernando Valley)
   1. Exit Avalon Blvd. turn left
   2. Turn right onto Victoria St.
   3. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   4. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3
4. Via 405 Freeway North (from Long Beach, Orange County)
   1. Exit Avalon Blvd. turn right
   2. Turn right onto Victoria St.
   3. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   4. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3
5. Via 91 Freeway West (from East L.A. County, North Orange County and Inland Empire)
   1. Exit Avalon Blvd. turn left
   2. Turn left onto Victoria St.
   3. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   4. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3
6. Via Artesia Blvd. (SR-91 Freeway East) (from Beach Cities)
   1. Exit Avalon Blvd. turn left
   2. Turn left onto Victoria St.
   3. Enter Gate E at Tamcliff Ave or alternately, Enter Gate F at Birchknoll Ave
   4. Make sharp right onto Dominguez Parkway continue to Lot 3

PLACARDS

Special placards that may be placed on a vehicle’s dashboard when entering the campus are available for campus community members who intend to access the campus during periods leading up to, during, and following soccer games. Use of placards is intended to facilitate access onto campus and into parking lots during football games and are not mandatory. A valid parking permit is still required when parking in campus lots during games. The placards are available at Parking Services SCC 200 and at the University Police Department WH B100 and in the Extended Education Registration Office. 

Note: if you are a College of Continuing and Professional Education student attending classes on game days, and you do not have a placard or an annual, semester or monthly parking pass, in order to gain entry to the parking lot, you need to state to the parking attendant the following: "I am taking a class at Continuing Education, and I am not attending the game."
