Professional Development Course Registration

The following are instructions for registering in classes for the following programs:

Please note that for the EMT program and for select OSHA courses, a separate application is also required.

 

  Online Self-Registration

The shopping cart is located in the schedule for each program or OSHA course. The schedule for each certificate program is located on the certificate program’s site (see program list above). For OSHA courses, the schedule provided is on each course’s page.

New Students

  • If you are a new to CSUDH and have never taken a course through CCPE, simply select the course you want to take, click on the Cart icon to register, input your personal information, and pay for your class(es).

Current Students

  • If you are an existing CCPE student who has been active in the past 6 months, you will use your regular CSUDH login information.
  • If you are an existing CCPE student who has been active within the past 2 years, but who has not been active in the past 6 months, you will need to reset your password by visiting https://csudh.edu/password

  • If you are an existing CSUDH/CCPE student who has forgotten your username, student ID number, and/or Toromail address, please call the CCPE Registration Office at 310-243-3741 (Option 1) during Office Hours to retrieve this information. Once you have this information, you can reestablish your CSUDH login by visiting https://csudh.edu/username.

Past Students

  • If you are a past CCPE student who has NOT been active within the past 2 years, please register for your first (returning) course as though you are new student. 

 

3rd Party Payer and Contract Training Registration

If you are a student in one of the following categories, please call the CCPE Registration Office at 310-243-3741 (Option 1) during Office Hours to register: 

  • If you are receiving funding through WIOA, DOD, EDD or other government agencies
  • If your employer is paying for you using a form of payment other than a credit card (purchase orders, invoices, etc.)
  • If your employer is paying for several people to take a course or courses
  • If you are registering for a training contracted by your employer

Refund of Fees

Refund of Fees

You must file appropriate forms in the College of Continuing and Professional Education Office in order to receive a refund. Students must officially drop their courses. For credit courses, students must file the appropriate "Drop" and "Request for Refund" forms in the Office of College of Continuing and Professional Education. The effective date of the refund is the day the forms are received by the Office of the College of Continuing and Professional Education.

To receive a refund of fees for any course, you must notify of College of Continuing and Professional Education between the hours of 9am and 4pm at least two working days before the course begins. You will be asked to send a written request for a refund of fees to our office. If you need to withdraw on or after the day of the first class meeting, notify the College of Continuing and Professional Education Registration office immediately. Refunds are granted in accordance with the State refund schedule.

  • If a course is cancelled, the entire course fee will be refunded
  • If you withdraw prior to the first class meeting, 100% of the course fee will be refunded (less a $10 processing fee for credit courses)
  • If you withdraw after the first class and before the first 25% of the course has elapsed, 65% of the total fee will be refunded
  • After 25% of the course time has elapsed, no refund will be made
  • No refund will be made for courses of four meetings or less, or four weeks or less.
  • Refund policies do not apply to courses that are offered in partnership with other educational institutions. These include, but are not limited to, the following partners: Green Fig and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Refund Policy for Cancellations or Transfers

  • Cancellations must be made at least 2 days prior to the course start date to be eligible for a refund.
  • Transfers must be requested at least 2 weeks prior to course start date Transfers requested after the 2 week cutoff will be handled on a space available basis and will not be eligible for a refund if space is not available.
  • Subject to specific situations, only one transfer request per class will be accepted.

CSUDH Health & Wellness Services for Students

CSUDH College of Continuing and Professional Education as well as Nursing students now have the ability to pay a fee and access basic services through the CSUDH Health Center and Student Psychological Services. Before opting in, please call 310-243-3629 to confirm eligibility.

Students must pay a fee each semester that they are enrolled to access these services.
