Note: The three courses listed below are preparatory courses for the MS Cyber Security program; they DO NOT count toward the MS Cyber Security degree course requirements.
In addition, students who meet all other admission requirements for the Master of Science in Cyber Security at CSUDH, but do not have a technical background, can be admitted to the masters program if they successfully complete these courses.
CTC 435 is a prerequisite for CTC 436 & 437. If you did not take CTC 435 at CSUDH, and you would like to take CTC 436 & 437, you will need to get permission from the program coordinator.

A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon successful completion of the required courses.
Note: Once you have completed all the required courses, you may request your certificate via our online application. The processing time is approximately 6-8 weeks from the time of submission, and includes both a digital certificate link and a printed physical certificate.

To register for the first course in the certificate program (CTC 435), simply call the College of Continuing & Professional Education to get registered. There are no prerequisites and no admission process to get started in the Cyber Security Fundamentals Certificate program. Students will then need to receive department consent to register for the remaining 2 courses in the certificate program (CTC 436 & CTC 437).
