Professor Bradfield has been on the faculty of CSUDH since 1982. He is the Coordinator of the Music Technology Option in the Digital Media Arts program. Professor Bradfield teaches all of the Music Synthesis courses and labs as well as TV Sound Design and Tools & Techniques of Digital Media Production. He is a recipient of the Lyle E. Gibson Distinguished Teacher Award. His students have won a Grammy Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and a Platinum Record for recording the “Gasolene Alley” album by the band, Sublime on MCA Records. Professor Bradfield is also active in composition, accompaniment, and arrangement of music. He has written music for a variety of platforms and venues such as theatre, television and film, computer-based multi-media projects, and instrumental/vocal ensembles. He is an active member of S.C.R.E.A.M. (Southern California Research for Electro-Acoustic Music) and serves as the faculty advisor for the A.R.M.S. (Audio Recording and Music Synthesis) student club in the department of Digital Media Arts.
